Below is a recap of our AMA with Eddy Lim — Animalia CEO & Co-Founder. As you will see in the highlights transcript below, we had an active and dynamic conversation. We thank the community for such a great turnout and active participation.

Q: Let’s start. Eddy, can you tell the Spores community about your team and the studio behind this game?

To start off, we have 4 core members for this project.

I am Eddy(Co-CEO & Co-Founder), currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was exposed to crypto during the ICO boom in 2016 and was curious about blockchain technology due to my background in programming.

Next, we have Bill (Also Co-CEO & Co-Founder), based in London, who oversees holistic development and manages the organization’s mission as the architect behind Animalia.

Then we have Joe (CCO & Co-Founder), based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and majored in VFX as a 3D generalist with previous exp working for Universal and Paramount.

And lastly, Omega (CTO), leads the engineering team and is responsible for the technical aspects of the game and blockchain development. He owns a game development company called shinobi too and we have teamed up to develop our game together.

All four of us 4 were actually high school friends, so we were all excited to show what we can develop and show it to everyone & our community.

Q: So Eddy, with so many games out there, what makes Animalia different from other gaming projects?

As a gamer ourselves, we understand the importance of the gaming experience and we take this seriously in the development of Animalia. To us, NFT is all about artwork and when you combine it with a game, the priority should be aesthetic + gaming, and this became our primary direction in the development of Animalia. Every piece of NFT artwork in Animalia was meticulously crafted by our remarkable in-house artistic team. All art pieces go through a rigorous process and are fine-tuned to ensure the highest level of artisanship. We put a lot of emphasis on refining the storyline to improve the gaming experience. Enzo “Warma” Floch is a top-ranked Hearthstone player and the latest key addition to our advisory board. You can find him here. Hearthstone presents many parallels to Animalia, as it too is a digital collectible card game built upon the lore of mystic PVP battle games. Warma’s experience in the field of gaming is a huge asset and his insights will give us a firsthand look from a player’s perspective on how to improve our overall gameplay to ensure it is equitable and enjoyable for all Animalia players.

Q: I like the graphics and also the gameplay in your videos. In the crypto space, backers and partners are very important. Can you tell us about some of them and why did you choose these?

We have currently secured a few major partnerships such as GD10, Master Ventures, Exnetwork Capital, EX21, Trustpad, Seedify, BSC News, Crypto Banter, Anypad, Lavender Capital, Gains Associates, Ash (Wall Street Bets), Synapse Network, Halvings Capital, Satoshi Stacker, Safelaunch, NFTpad, NFTb, Xion, Tokenova, Roseon Pad, Spores Network, Game Station, Apollo-X, Ignition, Paid Network and some CEX which we will reveal soon! :)

Q: A very busy year-end occasion I think and even busier January. Can you tell us more about the tokenomics of your tokens — $ANIM — and how do I as a gamer/investor earn from investing in NFTs or ANIM tokens?

The main purpose of the $ANIM token is to serve as a trading currency that players can spend whenever they want to purchase new assets from the Animalia Marketplace. It is also a DAO governance token that will be integrated to provide increasing levels of decision-making ability and for Staking purposes to enjoy rewards.
